Legendary rocker Eddie Vedder is known for his Seattle sound, but grew up a Chicago Cubs fan in Evanston, Illinois. He’s proudly displayed his alleigiance over the years by singing the stretch, throwing out first pitches, hanging with the team and even staging a Pearl Jam show at the Friendly Confines in 2013. But perhaps his greatest contribution to Die Hard Nation is his moving anthem to our eternal optimism – All The Way!
The song movingly tells the tale of the magic of Wrigley Field and the persistent, generational love for the North Side squad that has disappointed for over a century but will someday return to glory making the wait and loyalty all worthwhile.
“And when the day comes with that last winning run
And I'm crying and covered in beer
I'll look to the sky and know I was right
To think someday we'll go all the way”
Under the grand plan of Theo Epstein and leadership of Joe Maddon, the surprising young Cubs are heading towards a playoff berth in 2015 and it suddenly seems that “someday” may be soon. Get on board with the team, with Eddie, with history and destiny with this fun new shirt that demonstrates your belief and that you are not a fair-weather, but foul-weather fan.
Like all Cubby Tees designs, this is not an official product of any player, league, franchise, or grunge band -- it's just a fun piece of unique art from our imagination; drawn by hand and rendered digitally as a lossless high-resolution vector graphic for ideal printing. It comes on 100% cotton preshrunk tees in sizes small through 5XL. (Alternate brands/cuts/colors/sizes can be custom-printed for little additional cost).
